Torrey Pine Tree

Each of the Torrey Pine Trees featured at the resort were hand-crafted by our remarkable team of artisans. Our proprietary manufacturing process began with the forging of a steel inner-core into the shape of a Torrey Pine. A blend of inherently fire retardant and ultraviolet inhibiting high-density foams then wrapped the steel inner core. The foam blanket was hand-carved so as to provide the trunk of each tree with a flare at its base which tapered towards the top branching. Our sculptors hand-applied and embossed artificial bark which we made from molds we created using live trees. UltraLeaf-IFR® foliage, our propriety, commercial grade, inherently fire-retardant Torrey Pine styled branch and leaf sprays were then strategically attached to each tree and carefully embossed to conceal the attachment points. Our installation team then placed the trees in their respective planters attaching them in a more permanent fashion before the top of the planter was filled with a round river rock finish.  The trees were made in differing but similar sizes and with slight variations in shape so as to accurately reflect the differences found in Torrey Pine Trees made by Mother Nature.
