At the 2016 Stockholm Furniture Fair, Luca Nichetto launched his new, extended Wolfgang furniture collection. The Fornasarig stand at the fair displayed the new Wolfgang tables and chairs in two distinctly different ways. On the floor, the furniture was arranged to mimic a place of work, yet hanging above was a vibrant rainbow formed from Wolfgang Metal chairs and other Fornasarig designs. This constellation highlighted both the design’s supreme stackability, as well as showcasing the variety of shades in which the chair is available. It was a playful and awe-inspiring show that drew on the core component of Fornasarig’s identity – furniture.

Wolfgang Metal

When Luca Nichetto opened his Stockholm studio in 2011, the Wolfgang furniture family was the first fruit of this new chapter in the studio’s history. Five years after the launch of this initial range, Nichetto pushed the collection in bold new directions. This version of the Wolfgang Chair replaces the original’s wooden frame with a slender metal one. It retains the original model’s architectural curvature, while decreasing its weight to allow for easy stackability, portability and storage. The result is a versatile and easily adaptable chair for different environments.

Wolfgang Lounge with High Back and Ottoman

As the first products designed following Luca Nichetto’s move to Stockholm in 2011, the Wolfgang furniture family marked the beginning of a new chapter in the studio’s history. Five years later, Nichetto returned to this inaugural collection to explore new possibilities for the range. This high-backed lounge chair and ottoman takes the bold Scandinavian curves and elegant rounded seat of the original Wolfgang Armchair, but extends the backrest upwards. The effect is immediate, with the chair’s elongated form creating a bigger impact on any interior.

Wolfgang Bar Stool

In 2011, Luca Nichetto opened a new studio in Stockholm, expanding his practice to Scandinavia. The Wolfgang furniture family was the first outcome of this new era. Five years after the launch of this initial range, Nichetto returned to these designs to push the collection in bold new directions. This bar stool both literarily and figuratively extends the original Wolfgang Chair, raising the characteristic curved seat and backrest on sleek wooden legs. The Wolfgang Bar Stool is the ideal seat to place below a high table, whether in the home, office or a bar.
