Located at the border between Emeryville and Oakland, this new mixed-use project includes 101 residential and live/work rental units, and 1000 square feet of commercial space, including 9 BMR units scattered throughout, at the corner of 39th and Adeline. The project includes replacing an existing one-story light industrial building with four 3-story buildings surrounding a courtyard. The structure will rest above a partially submerged parking garage for residents. The architecture combines reference to Emeryville’s industrial past and its residential present. The first floor 10 live/work units have direct entry off the street creating a buffer between the building and the neighborhood. This project had phased occupancy permitting earlier inhabitation.
