Rotterdam and its harbour live side by side , the city is very influenced by the life and the esthetic of the Boats, the cranes the containers….

A tower as a link between the city end the harbour :This tower will be a link between the two parts of the city. An industrial structure welcoming activities from the city. This will be a sign in the landscape from the city center :here begins the harbour ! from the harbour : here begins the city !

From the tower both sides f Rotterdam will be visible.

The tower will be a start for people to take Boats and visit the canals. It will be like a gate from earth to see.

Public spaces in the air :

The tower itself is composed of main floors wich are very hight and visible from the outside. They are like public spaces with outside gardens floating in the air this very larges spaces can welcome important public programs like exhibition center, sport club, commercial gallery…

Mixed Used Building on every floor :

Between this main floors, other are smaller and open to the views outside and in the atrium. Int this spaces, a lot of programs can take place like offices, housings, restaurants…

A sustainable building :

On the main floors the struture of the building welcomes gardens with fantastic views. The water which falls on the tower is used to spray the vergetation wich will be very present in this building. In this tower people can use outside activities with no need to take the elevator for to long. For exemple someone who works on the 50 th floor can have a lunch on the 30th floor in a garden and go in a swimming pool in the evening on the 60 th floor. The tower is constructed on the border of the ground and the water. It use this exemptional position with a heat pump using the constant temperature of the water.

Symbol for a city :

This tower will use the possibility offered by the industrial structure to welcome a very sustanailble building. The struture can carry ground for trees, important solar panels, large atrium to create circulation of air….
