This residential structure, approached with a fragmented volume strategy instead of a singular mass interpretation, features a design of controlled openness that directly translates the light, wind, and daily life rhythm of the Aegean geography into spatial decisions. While the building establishes a strong visual connection with its surroundings, it achieves a balance that protects privacy—particularly with the fire pit created at the pool level and the recessed living terrace—yet maintains its connection with the outdoor space.
The mass composition defines a deep shadow organization through controlled break-ups, rather than creating continuity in the horizontal and vertical directions. This approach shifts the building away from a formal gesture and transforms it into a living, not static, architectural experience that constantly changes with daylight. The natural stone, the rhythm of vertical wood, and the deep window openings with dark frames used on the facades define the expressive power of the materials not through ostentation, but through timelessness and the connection established with the place.
Permeability in the plan scheme is defined through measured transitions that observe the balance of light, view, and privacy. Thus, the structure not only relates to the exterior but also re-scales the indoor-outdoor continuity in harmony with the user's daily life.
