The patisserie display and local product retail zone integrated into the interior of the historic Cunda Taş Kahve was approached with a design concept that aims to reinforce the building’s rhythm, material memory, and place in daily life without interfering with its existing character.
The custom furniture was designed at an intersection where current details meet local textures carrying the traditional production culture of Cunda—a language neither entirely nostalgic nor foreign to the structure. An interior layout was created that respects the public spirit of Taş Kahve while reorganizing the functional flow according to contemporary needs.
The patisserie display and retail stands were designed not as mere intermediaries between the products and the space, but as surfaces that make the narrative visible. The wet areas were rehandled in harmony with the building's architectural identity, ensuring that the spatial experience is updated seamlessly.
Rather than a conspicuous transformation, all interventions were structured as an update that accompanies the memory of the space, improves its operation, and deepens its way of life.
