Approximate to the landscape of the gredas (sandstone formations eroded by water and wind), this pool arises to restore the origin of this place before the typical Mediterranean urbanizations that devastate the Murcian coast were located.
It takes its users to the naked, empty landscape... to which this part of the Mediterranean belongs, there is an intention to return to the origin, it wants to be a recovered trace of it.
It establishes that contract of our coast between water and sand, that sand that enters the sea, simile in reading is that of that stone that enters the water, the pool. The entire project is developed with a single material, the Albamiel sandstone, Murcian stone, spread horizontally to configure an area of bathing, rest and relaxation, only trimmed to leave room for the esparto and rosemary.
Its shape corresponds to a review of being in the water, it gives multiple possibilities to those who enjoy it.
To break this porous horizontality, a block of sandstone is imposed, where the density of the rock is read, the weight of it in contrast to the water, as a support to the pieces of exterior toilet that stand as a sculptural game.
On the other hand, interpretation with the same material of the Mediterranean lattice, with its openwork of shadows, closes the plot giving privacy, but some permeability, giving way to the air, so necessary in our hot summers.
