In São Paulo,Brazil, the new AM2 Arquitetura office brings together functionality, warmth, and aesthetic identity in a space that mirrors the firm’s creative philosophy.
Designed and completed in 2025, the project translates the essence of a contemporary architectural atelier—balancing technical precision with a sense of well-being. The result is a workplace that feels as human as it is efficient.
Set within a corporate building framed by a lush central garden, the space celebrates the dialogue between interior and exterior. Expansive windows flood the work area with natural light, offering glimpses of greenery that blur the boundary between the built and the natural. The guiding premise was clear: to craft a fluid, collaborative, and inspiring workspace, while preserving the privacy required for design and client interaction.
“The office is a synthesis of AM2 Arquitetura’s architectural production—an extension not only of what we create but of who we are,” says architect Alessandro Malara. “It embodies our identity and personality.”
The material palette reflects the studio’s dual pursuit of sophistication and comfort. The exposed concrete ceiling sets a raw, structural tone, while cumaru wood panels bring warmth and tactility. The contrast is softened by leather furnishings, organically patterned rugs, and strategically placed greenery that breathe life into the composition. At the heart of the meeting room, a Guatemala-green stone table stands as a sculptural centerpiece—an emblem of durability and expressive design.
Spatially, the layout is divided between a collaborative work zone, a lounge-like waiting area, and a private meeting room. Glass partitions framed in matte-black aluminum ensure visual transparency and acoustic comfort, allowing openness without compromising focus. The flexible layout accommodates fluid workstations, inviting seating, and a meeting space that asserts its own character.
Light plays a key role in defining the atmosphere. Linear and diffuse, it creates continuous planes that highlight textures and materials, enhancing the architectural narrative. Greenery, integrated into planters and furniture, reinforces the concept of biophilia, connecting daily work life with nature.
“We wanted our office to be more than a corporate space—it’s the materialization of a human, creative atelier,” Malara concludes. “A place where architecture itself becomes an experience of connection, well-being, and inspiration.”
