Designed by Kuster Brizola Arquitetos, this 150 m² apartment, located in Curitiba, southern Brazil, expresses the homeowner’s personality through a vibrant composition of colors, textures, artworks, and a rich variety of materials, referencing the essence of Brazilian modernist architecture.
The social areas are organized through the integration of the living room, dining room, and kitchen, creating a fluid and welcoming space for entertaining. In the living areas, the original wooden parquet flooring was restored and now dialogues with colorful wall planes painted in warm terracotta and mustard tones. This palette adds character and warmth to the interiors while highlighting the natural texture of the wood.
The kitchen stands out as a focal point of contrast and identity. Blue hydraulic tile flooring creates a striking chromatic interplay with the red steel island, while wood panels and cabinetry envelop the space, reinforcing a sense of warmth and visual continuity with the social areas. The result is a dynamic, cheerful, and functional environment, ideal for everyday living as well as gatherings with friends.
In the private area, the apartment features two en-suite bedrooms. The master suite continues the dialogue with the social spaces by incorporating mustard tones on the walls and hydraulic tiles in the bathroom, creating a welcoming and character-filled atmosphere. The second suite was designed with flexibility in mind, functioning as a home office on a daily basis and occasionally as a guest bedroom.
