Located in the city of Curitiba, state of Paraná, Brazil, this 496m² apartment, previously semi-decorated by the construction company, underwent a partial renovation designed by architect Simara Mello. The project was developed for a young couple with children, who like to receive friends and family. The property was designed with a clean style and a timeless concept. The architect had already worked with these clients on the renovation of their beach house and was very happy to collaborate with this family again on the new project.
The apartment has a spacious and distinctive outdoor terrace. To meet customer needs and preferences, a kitchen was developed in the outdoor area, intended for daily use. The covered space received wooden flooring that extends throughout the lounge, unifying and giving continuity to the open deck area. The brise lining was installed to allow greater incidence of natural light in the space, both executed by Paulo Madeiras. The light furniture is by Momentum Design and the Doty Nude armchairs are by Jader Almeida.
The social area of the apartment consists of an integrated living room, dining room and kitchen. The project was based on a neutral color palette, highlighting the white base with subtle touches of light gray and beige. Considering the clients' passion for music and their imposing speakers, the acoustic and decorative design was carefully designed to enhance both aesthetics and sound quality. The neutral base is enriched by the textured matte stone of the kitchen countertop, while the furniture designed by the architect functions as an elegant sideboard, housing the canvas by artist Rodrigo Zampol, the ethanol fireplace by SC Lareiras and the owner's vinyl collection. This combination harmonizes the environment, making it perfect for leisure moments.
The use of light and natural materials maintained the spaciousness of the spaces and enhanced natural lighting, ensuring that sunlight reaches the entire social area. Brazilian design is highlighted by the composition of the Mole sofa, which forms the entrance hall, the lounge sofa, the Mucki bench and the Clad armchairs by Jader Almeida. The lighting design is minimalist, with indirect and directable light for the works of art, in addition to the lamp points and sconces in the hall.
The internal kitchen was already in the apartment and was reserved for social gatherings. The architect designed the new bench to accommodate more stools and complement the ambient sound project with the box on the gourmet island. The cabinet made by Florense was covered in natural veneer to make up the living room. The dining area has a large table for ten seats, a buffet and stools that were already in the apartment.
The intimate areas follow the minimalist style. In the couple's suite, the wooden headboard and bed designed by Estudio Bola bring warmth to the environment. In the daughter's suite, the desk is designed by Bruno Camarotti and the chair by Jader Almeida, in addition to the pet bed by Carbono Design. The son's suite stands out for its gray bed, also by Carbono Design, and a reading armchair by Jader Almeida. The granddaughter's suite received joinery from Decorblu, a rug with dots of color and a coat rack in the shape of a cat, designed by Linda Martins.
