Located on Avenida Infante Santo, in Lisbon, the project consists of the transformation of a recently built 135 m² three-bedroom apartment into a contemporary, refined and intentionally neutral space.

The central challenge was to create a minimalist environment capable of highlighting the owner's collection of art and design pieces, while preserving the welcoming character of a family home

Without altering the existing layout, the intervention sought to simplify and unify the spaces, transforming the apartment into a continuous, fluid white canvas, punctuated by walnut elements that define transitions between different functional areas.

The strategy prioritised a non-intrusive intervention, retaining the position of the main functional areas, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen and living room, while focusing on spatial reorganisation and improving the relationships between rooms. The widening and alignment of openings enhance spatial fluidity and perception, establishing a clear functional and visual hierarchy.

Materiality plays a decisive role: the all-white palette, applied to floors and walls, amplifies natural light and creates a continuous, neutral backdrop, while walnut introduces contrast, depth and warmth, appearing in portals, wall cladding and flooring in the more intimate areas. These elements precisely define spatial boundaries and transitions, lending rhythm and coherence to the overall composition.

Complemented by a flexible lighting system and a high level of construction precision, the proposal results in a restrained and quiet architecture, conceived to give prominence to the collection, highlighting it through a sophisticated formal balance and a consistent minimalist language.
