Camila had just arrived from Mexico and spoke of her desire to have a very colorful house. During the study, we used as a reference the Mexican architect Luis Barragán, who has a very sensitive repertoire when it comes to the use of color and light. In the project, the contrast of vibrant tones is present in most of the finishes, such as the yellow lining of the roof, the orange ceramic floor, the speckled pink tone of the walls and the green of the window frames. In addition to the architecture, there are many pieces of Brazilian folk art - a beautiful collection by Camila - that complement the proposed setting.
Spacious, integrated spaces that also evoke moments of surprise and different sensations as you walk around the apartment. We made use of planes, colors and lights as a graphic resource. We can mention some elements that stand out in this sense, such as the yellow roof lining, the pergola, the cobogó and the checkered design of the iron frames, which act as a screen for the beams of light that move across the walls throughout the day. The diverse and striking floor designs in the apartment are also noteworthy for portraying this intention.
