Victoria Azerbayeva is a fashion designer and designer who is passionate about interior design and interior decorating. When she and her husband bought the flat, the original plan was to rent it out until her daughter came of age. But after she got her hands on the keys, she realised that she wanted to move her atelier there, which later took on a life of its own and became much more than a future flat for her daughter or atelier. The space became in demand and interesting for businesses and the creative class, and now advertising shoots, photo shoots, master classes, meetings and markets are held inside.

The main highlight of the flat is the floor. In the area of the hallway and bathroom and storage room, one floor is laid with chiselled breccia marble, under which there is a warm floor. Multicoloured marble and onyx have a beautiful shimmer and send us back to the era of post-Soviet state institutions. Also in the hallway area we are greeted by a beautiful mural by artist Guzel Zakir @guzelzakirart. A console that used to be a desk. Vintage mirrors. The flat itself is full of vintage furniture and decor found on the local online marketplace. All the vintage furniture was handcrafted by Svetlana Malchikova @svetallinka - a master of furniture restoration in Almaty.

Victoria decided not to make partitions in the space, enclosing only the bathroom and the storage room in separate enclosed areas. The interior doors at first glance seem invisible. But these are simple budget doors made of mdf, just the height of 220. Here was not install mouldings. And simply, the installer cut a groove for plasterboard with a router. So the doors turned out original with a thin centimetre border from the box. In the bathroom the same plaster is used, only in the wet areas tile is laid. It is decorated with a beautiful painting, a vintage bar, which has become a cabinet for the sink and a vintage chandelier.

Once in the main area of the space, the visitor can notice the oak parquet flooring. This used parquet, also purchased from a local online marketplace. The find was a good one, 70% of all the parquet purchased was unharmed and nail-free. After purchase, a local handyman cleaned the entire volume of parquet from the glue. On the walls only Rothband plaster was used, coated with lacquer. Instead of a classic skirting board, a shadow skirting board was used. The kitchen area is located in the common area. But it is separated by a bar, which is used as a dining table. The kitchen is decorated with handmade tiles by ceramicist Sanim @rizabowl

On the ceiling in the area near the window are hanging planters that are equipped with auto watering. The idea with such landscaping was the very first. I wanted to decorate a simple painted concrete ceiling with fresh flowers. After the opening of the workshop, many people appreciated the space and the workshop gained a new status after an offer to hold a photo shoot in it. Since the opening of "Apartment on Tulebaeva", Victoria has held several marquets, commercials, clips, photo shoots and master classes are filmed here.
