The challenge of this project was to carry out a complete and thoughtful renovation of the apartment, both in terms of design and energy performance. The clients’ primary objective was to significantly improve the energy rating (DPE), going from a poor class G to a much more efficient class C. This ambitious goal was successfully accomplished through a series of targeted and carefully executed interventions.

To achieve this, all the exterior walls were re-insulated with high-performance materials, ensuring better thermal retention. A controlled mechanical ventilation system (CMV) was also installed to optimize airflow and maintain a healthy indoor climate, while reducing energy consumption.

Preserving the apartment's character was a key concern throughout the renovation. One of the most striking features is the replacement of the original 4.5-meter-wide glass door, which now frames a breathtaking, unobstructed view of the Parisian rooftops, maintaining the apartment’s charm and authenticity.

Modern touches were also added to enhance the space. A custom-made yellow Colzac metal staircase now acts as a visual centerpiece in the main living area, injecting color and vibrancy. The kitchen, composed of stainless steel elements (Ikea and Cubro), reflects natural light beautifully. The bathroom and attic were fully reimagined, improving both comfort and functionality.
