MUA - Architecture & Placemaking as Interior Architects

The project space is located in the building of the former scientific research institute and the so-called "Mioni" experimental factory. One part of the building is currently used as AzRy's office space. The company operates in the field of high-tech software and hardware development.
After getting familiar with the specifics of AzRy's work and analysis of its components the project program was defined. The two floors intended for office space were functionally distributed and adapted to the structure of the existing building.

The concept of the workspace is based on the idea of a "healthy office", which means creating an environment where the flexible interconnection of formal and informal spaces has the main role. Especially important is the functionally maintained circulation, separated common and working spaces, the use of elements in the design that allow the process to be managed alternately.
One of the key elements of the concept is the architecture of the existing building and its industrial look. The typology and character of the building formed the basis for the arrangement of open and semi-detached workspaces - places where it was possible to change the environment, for individual or team work. A central circulation axis was identified around which common and separate spaces were distributed.

The main elements of interior design and cladding materials were selected with special care - soft colored floors, columns lined with light sheets of wood, table lighting and acoustic panels adjusted to the structure of the ceiling, together with the colors create a cozy and comfortable environment.
