Located in the heart of Malaga, Baca Dental Studio is much more than a clinic: it is a space where the interior design challenges the conventional codes of the healthcare sector. Our project is based on a clear idea: to transform dental care into an aesthetic, immersive, and sensory experience.
The space precisely combines an industrial and brutalist language—pillars that simulate concrete, rough-textured walls—with a friendly, curvilinear design that breaks with the traditional clinical coldness. The organic lines, present in the furniture, finishes, and partitions, provide visual dynamism and acoustic comfort, key elements for internalizing the space and making it welcoming.
One of the strengths of the project is its play of layers and overlays: filtered curtains, indirect home automation lighting, technical panels, and textile furniture coexist to create a warm, quiet, and functional environment. Similarly, on the façade, showcase-style glass reveals the skeleton of the space from the street, and overlapping transparencies elegantly reinforce the idea behind the proposal.
The layout is designed to promote circulation and zoning. From the reception area—with a curved piece illuminated from the base—you can access offices, private areas, and a photography area for patients, designed as a small set surrounded by circular curtains. Modular furniture, custom finishes, and a neutral color palette with a single accent of color in the centerpiece transform every corner into a carefully crafted setting.
The compositional rigor is maintained in the restrooms and technical spaces: continuous surfaces reminiscent of concrete, taupe-colored sanitary ware in line with the brand's visual identity, and an atmosphere that eschews the stigma of sterility in favor of sensitivity and timelessness.
Baca Estudio Dental shows how interior design can improve the perception of a healthcare service, working from an emotional, functional, and technical perspective to offer more human, memorable, and peaceful spaces.
