The apartment is located in the central area of ​​Milan, and occupies the two top floors of the building. The house, far from the classic style, prefers rigid and sharp geometries, fragmented surfaces that become three-dimensional and volumes enriched by the movement of the materials used.

The approximately 300 square meters of the house have been renovated allowing natural light to diffuse into the space in a fluid way and, at the same time, playing with artificial lighting, positioned through recessed spotlights in the ventilation slots and decorative lamps of great effect and scenography distributed throughout the house.

One of the strengths of Back in black is, certainly, the penthouse with a terrace of 200 square meters on the roof. The lower floor, on the other hand, illuminated only by the windows positioned on the street on one side of the house, has been conceived as a constantly changing space, which favors the distribution of natural light during the day, and is divided thanks to sliding doors and adjustable blades, made to measure by the carpenter, which allow continuous contact between the different environments, in a sort of multifunctional loft.

The rooms of the house, which thanks to the use of movable and transformable elements can be visually communicating and, if necessary, screened, are developed around a central shaft from which the light filters and each of them has a rock'n'roll style defined by the architects themselves. The space is accessed through an entrance which features a large wardrobe.

The master bedroom and walk-in closet are partially separated from the corridor thanks to the use of a wall with adjustable wooden slats; the living room is characterized by an equipped container positioned between two sliding doors so as to create a corner for the study and dynamically separate the two environments according to the needs of its inhabitants; on the lower floor the kitchen area is

separated from that of the dining area by a partition of slates that creates a scenography played on the principle of see-through, while on the top floor the existing cube-shape island has been arranged differently, creating a workstation flanked by a bench with stools and separated, once again in a non-defined way, from the relaxation area, through a custom-made bookcase.

There are four bathrooms and each one is characterized by a strong personality. In particular, one bathroom stands out above the others, being a real room within which there are a triple shower, a mini pool and two stone and totem-shaped sinks, where blue lights illuminate the entire space.

Throughout the house, the floor is an antique first layer oak parquet, aged in the air, and with different shades of plank to plank that give the entire area of ​​the house an unconventional and not at all obvious beauty.
