Richmond House

Michael Bertuch as Lead architect and designer

An innovative approach was essential to maximise the development potential of this very small, square, vacant site in of Richmond, adjacent to a 150-year-old heritage tavern.

Our modern and low maintenance design features extensive use of local materials to integrate sympathetically with the established surrounding streetscape, while effortlessly incorporating vertical setbacks and flexible cantilevered windows to maximise natural light, ventilation, privacy and views toward the city centre.

The final three-storey residence contains over 200m² of living space, on a 125m² plot incorporating 30m² of private courtyard spaces and landscaped areas.
