The project, which is the home of the architect and her family, was designed to welcome and connect people. The architect expanded the living room to the L-shaped balcony by removing the frames and placing retractable glass panels next to the railing. “We chose the L-shaped sofa with 5 m on each side and we placed two armchairs in front so people can look at each other and connect when they are sitting down”, explains Beatriz.

The heart of the room is the cellar for 270 bottles, which is even more charming as it is in front of the European Oak panel.

Residents preferred to eliminate the barbecue, which was in the corner of the porch. With the removal of the window frames, the column at the corner of the L gained prominence in the living room.

The living room has a generously sized sofa, armchairs and a wine cellar designed for family moments. On the larger wall in the living room, Beatriz placed corrugated cement boards. “The concave design converses with the sections of the sofa, which are convex, and the white paint adds clarity,” he says. The European oak floor made the environments welcoming.

The same wood covers the walls and doors that blend into the spaces and is also used in the joinery with muxarabi details. “I like to work with lots of textures, natural elements and few colors. Green stands out here”, says the architect.
