South Northants Homes, Mears and British Gas have worked in partnership to implement a range of innovative energy saving technologies at Bridgewater House – a sheltered housing block in Brackley. Ground source heating, photovoltaic, and solar thermal heating are being employed in all the communal areas as well as the new flats.

• Danfoss Ground Heat Pumps: Ground source heat pumps use pipes buried in the garden to absorb heat from the ground and use it for space heating. • Photovoltaic (PV) Technology: HeatingSolar thermal water heating system uses heat energy from the sun to generate hot water for heating applications.
