Burò is Base’s cowork space located at the design quarter “ZonaTortona”in Milan.

Mezzo Atelier has been commissioned to create and produce custom made furniture for their 2.000 sq. shared office space.

Desks for two and four people and self standing bookcases attend to the coworkers needs, as well as the ones from small companies which rent space for longer terms. The furniture’s skeleton is entirely made in tubular steel and the tops are in beech multiplex with four tones of colored furniture linoleum.

The middle of each desk is marked by movable wooden pieces covering the cable tray underneath and allowing each user to personalize it. An upper frame can be plugged so that integrated lightning can create a better working condition.

The modular furniture allows for the space to shift according to Burò’s needs. Creating work groups, long meeting tables or more fluid areas can be achieved easily by changing layouts.

The interiors set were curated by H+, one of the funding partners of Base Milano. Among the Mezzo Atelier custom made pieces there are also vintage furniture and others manufactured by Leftovers studio.
