The need to mitigate oneself in the context of the hill and at the same time the possibility of enjoying unique panoramas have given life to a project that reduces the form and materials to instrumental elements for these only two purposes. In this direct and almost childish lexicon, concrete becomes the natural element, like a cave dug into the rock that protects man from bad weather, and glass remains the only filter between inside and outside. The third element that completes the architecture is the greenery that colonizes all the flat surfaces at all levels: the roof, the ground floor and the basement.

All exterior walls that are not built against the ground are made of glass. The large glazed surfaces require the construction of a concrete projection in continuity with the roof slab which protects from direct radiation in summer and maximizes the contribution of solar rays in winter.

Like the roof slab, the floor of the ground floor, the basement and the external sidewalks are also in concrete; the continuity of the material is interrupted only by the fixtures to underline the close relationship between man-made and natural elements.

Inside, the very particular layout, dictated by the imprint of the previous buildings, develops fluidly, turning the living area towards the (more public) access area, while the sleeping area towards the rear garden (more private).

In the basement there are all the service areas such as relaxation rooms, gym and laundry but also a small suite that looks directly onto the underground garden. The actual social space is the flat roof, partly covered by photovoltaic panels and partly equipped as a convivial space with gazebo, deck chairs and swimming pool.
