Located in the heart of the historic center of Bologna, Via Cavaliera today Via Oberdan, corresponds to one of the minor cardo of the city of Bologna and Casa Azzoguidi located on Via Albari, today S. The client's needs are translated into the reinterpretation and recovery of spaces through a delicate project that fits with respect into the context. Innovation and reinterpretation are found in the details and finishes, which give the rooms the refinement they deserve.
It was decided to work on the basis of the early twentieth century, the perfect setting for a restaurant and leisure room, recovering the stucco and working with materials such as steel and glass. The floor is a Venetian terrazzo with inserts of irregularly shaped tesserae in green alps marble, the same used for the furnishings, which recalls a technique of the time and winks at the architect Carlo Scarpa who has made one of his works in the nearby Via Altabella.
The distribution of spaces follows the intrinsic characteristics of the existing. You enter the restaurant under the wooden portico directly into the main room which houses a restaurant area and a bar area. The service rooms, kitchen, bathrooms and cloakroom, are located in the rear spaces from which you access the stairs that lead to the basement, characterized by brick cross vaults, where there is a cellar for customers and service rooms such as warehouse, locker room and staff services.
