Carossa House

Q d’arquitectura as Architects

A site situated to the skirt of the mountain of Sant Llorenç, with the lower part of the plot affected by a natural ravine. We situate the house in the upper part, trying to be the transition among the urban plot and the natural spaces of the lower part of the plot that remains stable. We concentrate the house in a cube of 2 levels with the entire program to preserve a large part of the site. We generate a double space facing south, in the dining room, that generates the entire project, giving us the best views. All the stays are overturned to this double space or are part of it. The large glass windows connect us with the natural land, but can be closed, returning to a introspective cube with sliding doors of wood, giving us a changing façade, dynamic, to adjust to the changes along the day or along the years.
