Renovation of a semi-detached house in one of the traditional neighbourhoods of Madrid. The exterior of the house is protected, which was decisive in designing a distribution according to the existing openings in the façade. The complexity of the project lay in the tight area available on the first and second floors, where the program for the bedrooms, bathrooms and dressing room would be located.

The result is a house where the daytime area is located occupying the entire ground floor, spacious and diaphanous, where the kitchen space acts as a link between the interior and exterior living areas. On the upper floors, by moving the vertical core to one side, very spacious private rooms are obtained. The attic space on the upper floor was resolved by reusing part of the existing furniture. The storage areas and facilities were moved to the basement, where it was possible to include a guest room with a bathroom.
