Small touristic project in the moutains of Madeira Island, consisting of a renovation and a new building in light steel framing (LSF) and wood cladding.
The land has a 360 degree mountain view with steep slopes and waterfalls, there were 2 small ruins in basalt stone which have been reconstructed and completed by a 3rd new volume in wood. As a whole the ensemble works as a 2 Bedroom residence around a courtyard. The two units can be used separately or as a whole. The land is only accessible by a footpath, so the reduction of excavation and was important in the design process.
