In the space occupied by a disused carpentry workshop, his conversion in housing, his original function, is approached. The plot has the traditional east-west orientation of the maritime district, and the house is located on the ground floor of Valencian house with the typological square patio located at the corner of the rectangular plot. The day zone is oriented towards the facade (west) and the stays at night, at dawn, to the patio.

One of the factors that pivoted the project action was the light input. For this, the composition of the exterior carpentries was recovered. The entrance gate floods the general room with light. The house-yard circulation is oversized in width to introduce the greatest amount of light. A stainless steel joinery is located from floor to ceiling for this purpose.

The textures are the traditional ones, white backgrounds where the wood (in this project with clear shades) and enameled ceramics are settled.We have also designed the facade grilles, creating geometric resources that can be seen in some of the neighborhood's bars.

The elements of original design and construction mark the composition: the general space inherited from the previous use (workshop) is read in the continuity of joists and vaults, the bays that indicate successive enlargements in their 90 years of life are still read, even with more intensity.

The unique and main circulation connects with two rooms and the bathroom. And it ends in the patio where both bedrooms flush. Bright dawn reflected in the white mortar and white tiles of 20x20 cm.

A dominant day stay occupies most of the surface. A space where to do, where to stay, where to live, and how far to transit. A playground for a baby, a bicycle parking, a library with office, a room where to dance, reading corners. A workshop for life.

The kitchen accompanies the fund that deployment of flexibility. Peninsula and table define possible places to eat or work.
