The project was completed at the beginning of 2025 and consists of a single-family house with two levels and approximately 205m² of built area. It is situated within the private condominium "Las Totoritas," 80 km south of Lima, Peru. The site, also measuring 205m², is located 100 meters from the beach and next to one of the main streets of the condominium.

The Extroverted House: The client´s brief described a house that its architecture would not be closed off to the exterior but instead be as open as possible towards the front, inviting and welcoming its users, guests, and neighbours passing by.

The social areas such as the barbecue, pool, and the large dining area are located on the double-height terrace that marks the main facade of the house. From the outside, the view presents a continuous, open, and flexible space that contains not only the terrace spaces but also the living room, dining room, TV room, and kitchen inside, avoiding any partitioning elements that might interrupt this connection.

Due to the trapezoidal shape of the site, the perspective of the space is emphasised, giving the impression that the ground floor of the house is deeper than it actually is. The view ends with the main staircase of the house, which is developed separately form the walls to give greater prominence and freedom to its form. On the main façade, a concrete structure defines the terrace space and the volumetry of the house.  

Areas on the ground floor include the social areas, pool, terrace, guest room, kitchen and the service area. The upper floor contains the master bedroom, three additional bedrooms and the family room. The bedrooms on the upper level overlook the double-height terrace where the pool and the main social areas of the house are located.

Planters along the façade of the bedrooms and on the concrete structure at the front of the house add a touch of greenery and nature to the terrace, while also serving as tools to generate privacy and solar protection.

Regarding finishes, neutral materials that complement the colour of the exposed concrete were used, such as travertine on the terrace floors, stone-coloured porcelain on the interior floors, white sintered stone for the kitchen and barbecue countertops and light wood-coloured melamine for the fixed furniture. On the exterior, the red brick cladding of the barbecue area stands out among the finishes, while inside, the green colour of the main staircase is particularly notable.
