Pre-existing on this site, a warehouse, property of the client. It was the starting point of our approach. Built with atypical volumes and morphologies, partially buried, we imagined this place as a partially hollowed out rock mass, constituting the patios of the various living spaces.
The route invites you to enter from the highest point of the land, subtly guessing the first features of the house. A simple threshold invites you to enter through the patio, sculpted with landscape terraces.
The existing warehouse is required to be left in raw concrete, the contemporary writing is finely underlined by the scheduling given to the benches and their layout. The geometry of the plan works the thickness by coming to accommodate the servant spaces and thus allowing to largely release the living spaces whose volumes are generous because of the original program of the place. The wide opening to the outside invites a certain modularity and allows the living space to be extended onto the garden, eliminating the inside/outside limit.
The introverted functional rooms open onto patios, conducive to calm and contemplation.
The land installed with oaks and olive trees creates an enveloping setting between freshness and sunshine. Creating a path on the plot and guiding the inhabitants towards a pavilion housing the sports hall.
The roof, a real fifth facade, is composed and like the rest of the project, it plays on a beautiful ambiguity between the ground and the roof, it becomes a garden in its own right.
