This newly built single-family home in Sitges is the result of a careful study of the site, natural light, and the surrounding landscape. As an architecture studio, our goal was to create a contemporary design that integrates seamlessly with the topography while offering an open, bright, and comfortable living experience.
The house is organized around a main cantilevered volume that provides shade, solar protection, and a generous porch on the ground floor. This strategy enhances energy efficiency, reduces direct solar exposure during summer, and improves indoor comfort throughout the year.
The ground floor brings together the most social areas of the home: an open kitchen, a large dining area, and a living room that extend toward the terrace and swimming pool through panoramic glazing. Large-format openings allow for full transparency, expanding the usable space and creating a direct connection with the garden.
On the upper floor, the bedrooms are oriented toward the best views and protected by the structural overhang. The main bedroom features a fully glazed façade that draws the landscape into the interior, reinforcing the sense of openness and spatial continuity.
The interior design combines natural materials and warm tones with a clean, elegant aesthetic. Wood, stone, integrated lighting, and restrained furniture create a calm and welcoming atmosphere that complements the architecture without overpowering it.
The inclined geometry of the façade is not merely a formal gesture: it optimizes solar exposure, enhances energy performance, and protects the interior spaces, turning architecture itself into a tool for comfort.
