The houses are located in a private neighborhood with a high building density where the regulations allow to occupy most of the lot surface, allowing construction between party walls. Based on these conditions, the first design premise was to achieve the greatest possible introspection of the house, emphasizing the spatial quality in all rooms.

The program consists of 2 identical houses, which have 2 courtyards. A larger inner courtyard, which in addition to being the entrance of each unit, is the one with the best orientation, which had to be taken advantage of. This decision produced a setback of the main façade, generating a void in the urban fabric. The second courtyard is located at the rear of each dwelling and not only contributes to ventilation and lighting, but is also the expansion of the dining room and kitchen. On the first floor, a dynamic space is proposed, where all spaces are linked and connected to each other. This is where the social area is located. It houses the living room, the dining room, the kitchen integrated to both spaces, a toilette and the laundry room. On the upper floor is the private area, consisting of 2 bedrooms and a private bathroom.

From the very beginning, in the design process, the use of light was emphasized as a key element in the composition of the spaces. For this reason, all the spaces have natural light coming in from different angles according to the orientation, favoring direct light during the first hours of the day and indirect light during the rest of the day.

As for the treatment of the volumetry, it was proposed to generate a large white cube, bringing a bit of calm to an environment with so much noise, with a hint of simplicity and whose perforations end up configuring the interior space.
