#CasaSon presents an open, fluid, connected and flexible space instead of a living-dining room. We call it a triple-space because, following the traces of the structure that divides the bay of this bourgeois flat with its wide balconies on the façade, we suggest an open space in which all the public activity of the dwelling is concentrated. A meeting place where one arrives, eats, cooks, studies or plays and in which, over time, different filters can be closed or opened. These filters, whether curtains, sliding doors or translucent closures, modulate the degrees of privacy of the house and its uses.
For the initial years, we designed a specific layout for them: the hall is open to the living room and kitchen, the dining room merges with them and at the back of the living room, a study that opens up by means of two sliding doors and is only partially veiled, directing the viewer's gaze towards it.
In the future, the study can be converted into a guest room or bedroom, and the dining room can be closed off from the living room. In all situations, the kitchen orchestrates this triple space as the heart of the home. From it, all the domestic activity is detached and interconnected, embracing it and exposing its geometry in a rather scenographic way to the vision of all the balconies that mark the rhythm of the new triple-space.
