The project for these premises is based on a complex challenge: to give a new spatial image to the offices of a digital marketing start-up, creating an environment that reflects the identity of its brand, which is creative, dynamic and functional.
The dark and outdated premises required a careful intervention. The pre-existing facilities, acoustic requirements and low ceiling morphology limited the performance.
The proposal uses two strategies to respond to the operational needs, creating an inspiring and flexible atmosphere, adapted to a young and constantly growing team:
1. The incorporation of a versatile and inexpensive industrial material, cement block. The project is committed to using the cement block as the main design unit. Its essence allows to build separations between rooms, but also a grandstand, a bar, partition walls, a wine cellar, benches, etc.
2. The use of the colour midnight blue as an aesthetic resource and generator of sensations, and birch plywood in personalised design elements. The furniture was custom-designed, shelves, collective desks, meeting tables, etc. with curved shapes adapt to the characteristics of the premises, dotted with pillars, and to the work team, young people who are constantly moving from one side to the other to talk on the phone or to meet.
This project demonstrates how it is possible to renovate a pre-existing premises while respecting both its original architecture and the specific needs of a young, creative company. The intervention managed to merge the best of industrial style with a modern touch, creating a space that not only responds to the functional needs of the company, but also reflects its innovative character and vision.
