In this vibrant 19th century neighbourhood Assendorp, near the centre of Zwolle, at the corner of the Ittersumstraat and the Celestraat these new buildings are located. This place was released after the construction of the Jenapleinschool (primary school) thereby the extra barracks could be demolished in the Celestraat. The building houses three levels in six 3 - and 4-room apartments. On the Celestraat are, inextricably linked to the apartment building, three family homes in two layers located. The block is designed so it fits in the original profile of the street. The building is inspired by the historic buildings of the area characterized by its dark red brick and white edges. Through apply these style features in a playful way it creates a contemporary façade which seamlessly fits into its surroundings.
