The ancient 15th-century church of San Michele Archangelo, now a library and multipurpose hall, was born out of an overwhelming desire to save a monumental building of central importance to the community, to restore it from sacred use to a use of equal value, namely cultural use.
The project is partly conservative, as for the frescoes floors and masonry, with the intervention of specialised workers, and partly new, as for the entire new layout of the library with its displays and the conference hall with its own furnishings.
