Dissimilar Metal Design (DMD) is proud to have been selected as façade manufacture for the new Chevron’s Midland Campus. The 25-acre state-of-the-art facility’s facade is set to be constructed using DMD’s Weathering Steel, and will serve as a world-class facility which will attract new employees and support the growth of Midland Texas.
Dissimilar Metal Design is excited to bring forth the architectural and structural vision of leading architecture and engineering firm HOK alongside the talented team at Swinerton Builders Austin.
The new Chevron Campus consists of two 4-story buildings connected by a walkway, a fitness center, a cafeteria, a training facility, and a central plant, totaling 340,000 square feet. The campus will support Chevron’s goal of providing a world-class facility for its West Texas Permian Basin operations, allowing them to attract new employees and support future growth in Midland.
The Chevron Campus enclosure will be constructed of a unitized, high-performance curtain wall system featuring technology and unique material aesthetic constructed with DMD Weathering Steel. The project is slated to achieve a LEED® Gold designation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Construction is expected to be complete in 2015.
