In the heart of Milan’s CityLife district, this apartment by Studio 13.1 Architecture & Decor transforms the ground floor into an intimate “urban villa” overlooking a private garden. The project’s guiding idea was to create a domestic refuge where contemporary design and memory coexist in harmony, far from the neutrality often associated with modern interiors.

The spaces unfold like a fluid journey, where natural light, proportions, and perspectives shape a warm, enveloping atmosphere. Warm materials and tactile surfaces engage in dialogue with bespoke furnishings, artworks, and antique pieces, creating a layered aesthetic that is refined yet authentic, without any scenographic or museum-like effect.

Every detail contributes to a coherent domestic direction: from furnishings to finishes, everything expresses a timeless language that bridges past and present. The bathrooms also reflect this design care. In the master bathroom, CEA’s FLAG collection taps in satin stainless steel are paired with Arabescato marble, generating a harmonious balance between contemporary elegance and high-quality materials. The result is a sophisticated yet lived-in space, authentic and personal; an intimate home that thoughtfully reflects the complexity and vitality of contemporary urban life.
