The Royal Motor Yacht Club has a long, and royal, history. The original Motor Yacht Club was founded in 1905, and opened its premises at Point Piper, Sydney, New South Wales in December 1910. By 1927 it was the largest such Club in the world with a membership of 150, when King George V decided to bestow it's ‘Royal’ prefix. In 1934 the official opening of hte RMYC Port Hacking took place. Today it retains that early prestige, though the world, and motor yachts, have changed substantially.
It’s a stylish, comfortable place for members to relax and enjoy. The Marina Dining area and outdoor spaces were recently refurbished and furnished by interior designer Michelle Morris using Satara's handcrafted Skal Dining Chairs. Skal Armchairs and Skal Bar Stools - all in ice white as well as Vespa Dining Chairs and a variety of custom outdoor teak tables. The furniture selection from Satara was the ideal fit for this iconically located boating venue.
