Our task
FK-ramps is engaged in the creation of amenities for Russian athletes of new Olympic disciplines - skateboarding and BMX-Freestyle. It was important for the management that the new office reflect a sense of freedom and at the same time become a comfortable space for the work of various employees, become a point of growth for the company.
Solution
In the previous office, there was a problem of lack of space and placement of employees in different separate small rooms. This did not allow increasing design capacities and increasing production volumes. It was decided to create a new headquarters in order to unite employees in a single space.
In the office, it was necessary to organize functional workspaces for several main departments. We performed zoning taking into account the noise load of each of the departments.
The design department needed the most jobs and lighting control with roller blinds, as they are less mobile and constantly working with blueprints. The accounting department and the design and technical department were separated and located in separate rooms. The architects were placed above them on the second floor.
The sales department is located near the entrance group, which is adjacent to the dining area.
The center of the planning composition was a meeting space with a large table. These areas are separated with interior sound-absorbing panels so that constant calls and noisy brainstorming sessions cannot disturb other employees. The corner section is reserved for the manager's office.
In the interior, most of all, I wanted to reflect the company's belonging to the modern youth street culture, doing it effectively, but at the same time delicately and seriously, because FK-ramps works with large customers. Bright accent details (refrigerator in the dining area, shelving in the meeting room, massive lamps with a reference to the famous game console) in the office are interspersed with discreet textures of natural wood and gray rough textiles. The loft concept turned out to be very useful: it resembles the atmosphere of indoor skate parks, which are often set up in old workshops.
The unique "chandelier" - BMX over the table in the meeting room became the central element of the composition. This is the bike on which Kostya Andreev, one of the best freestylers in Russia, became the champion in 2017. Its tires have been replaced with luminous polymer plastic elements, and it is suspended from the ceiling on thin cables.
FK-ramps employees love not only skateboarding and BMX, but also snowboarding, so we invited the artist Liu Cheba from Krasnaya Polyana to decorate the wall with art in the form of the peaks of the Caucasus Range.
