"Crudo" is located In Bologna, on the slopes of the hill, at the beginning of Via San Mamolo, renowned for its trendy restaurants. It is a Sushi and Cocktail bar with a unique concept, characterized by a cuisine that recalls the Japanese culinary tradition meeting the Italian tastes.

The client has requested a unique space for the city of Bologna.Building on that, the project involves the remaking of the whole place, respectful of the historical features of the original structure, keeping the cast iron vaults and columns in the original colour.

The architectural and compositional criteria focused on the variety and peculiarities of the materials used.The resin on the ground interrupted by a brass line which continues with Carrara marble slabs, the Forest Green marble of the small tables and the corten steel combined with the vertical green walls have made it possible to create a setting with a curated and refined atmosphere.

The choice of lighting played a fundamental role, as in the rest of my works.

In this project, I relied on the English company Tom Dixon, choosing chandeliers that refer to the idea of gold-coloured bubbles and fishing pots.

The walls have been equipped with a wine cellar at the service of the restaurant and framed with LED strips that recreate light effects for the various settings.

The restaurant is divided into two areas: the first one, where the primary role is played by the corten steel and Carrara marble bar counter, the second one, instead, characterized by the open kitchen.

The green and pink velvet seats are combined with Forest Green marble small tables with a raised surface, so as to recreate a tactile as well as visual experience.
