The city of Baccarat located between Nancy and Strasbourg is known for its crystal production. The city is organized on both sides of the Meurthe: on the right bank, the factory to which the city owes its fame. On the left bank, the old city extends to the heights. The banks live side by side, but as much as the Baccarat brand is synonymous with luxury all over the world, the city is just waiting to grow. The project focuses on creating urban links:
-A link with the valley, the city below, the right bank and the production site of the crystal, the project being visible from the main street, rue Adrien Michaut which leads precisely from the factory to the museum. The project assumes its visibility in the axis of the main street: by placing itself as focal point of the city, the point of light that is the extension, like a cut crystal work, is placed as the pendant of the production plant.

-A link between the two rehabilitated buildings: The volume of exhibitions is inserted through the buildings and opens onto the public space. In frontage, a transparent double skin sifts the light.
-A link between the urban space and the building, both public: by dropping the wall, a forecourt is created, as generous as possible, and allows accessibility to all from the new parking. An opening is thus created towards the village of Deneuvre, its church Saint-Rémy and the garden of the museum, the garden of the scents, made visible from the street Lorraine.
