Two shades of grey drawn from the material palette of the “Pietra Serena” recall the Tuscan experiences of the owner, a scenario of coloured actions and a backdrop for delicate shades between light and shadow. Smooth and jagged surfaces in two tones form a harmonious horizon, connecting architectural elements. Openings expand perspectives, alternating between compression and expansion, inside and outside, along the south/east-north/west axis, capturing cooling breezes in summer. Outdoor

Initially out of place in its context, the enigmatic cube now blends in using local rock. Historically associated with Sicilian Arab-Fatimid architecture for leisure, it presents a raw rock rendition, inspiring inhabitants toward alternative lifestyles beyond routine, harmonizing with nature. Despite its enclosed square shape, it becomes more inviting with occasional large openings and a dynamic staircase. Meanwhile, smaller cubes nestled against the natural terrain allow uninterrupted horizon views, creating a four-level terrace arrangement.
