Set on a hillside in Teià, the house occupies a site defined by expansive horizons and exceptional views across the Mediterranean. This privileged setting becomes the starting point for a design that seeks lightness, openness and an almost weightless presence within the landscape.

The house is conceived as two superimposed volumes, subtly shifted in relation to one another. At ground level, the architecture opens towards the garden and the landscape, allowing interior spaces to extend seamlessly outdoors and preserving long, uninterrupted views. Above, the upper floor is expressed as a suspended volume, opening generously towards the Mediterranean while adopting a more protective character along the northern façade.

The displacement between the two volumes creates a carefully balanced composition of mass and void, light and shadow. Deep overhangs and large glazed openings frame the landscape, filter natural light and introduce a sense of depth throughout the house. The restrained material palette and neutral tones further reinforce the building’s quiet presence, allowing the architecture to recede into its surroundings rather than compete with them.

Throughout the project, boundaries between inside and outside are deliberately softened. Rooms are consistently oriented towards the horizon, while transparency, cantilevered planes and shifting volumes establish a continuous dialogue between architecture and landscape. The result is a calm and contemplative domestic environment, where the house appears to hover above the terrain and dissolve into the Mediterranean horizon.c
