THE CUBE: FROM GARAGE TO A VIBRANT URBAN YOUTH HUB

This project transforms a former garage into a multifunctional space dedicated to artistic and sports expression, with a special focus on young people. It aims to create a meeting place that fosters social diversity and intergenerational exchange, encouraging connections between local residents and community actors. The CUBE is conceived as an open, inclusive space that promotes interaction and collective creativity.

Design Strategy
The architectural approach is rooted in respect for the existing structure, preserving the spatial qualities and historical identity of the site through the use of original materials and key representative elements. Interventions are minimized and focused on enhancing functionality, safety, and comfort—ensuring thermal efficiency, air quality, lighting, and acoustics are all carefully addressed.

The basement is opened up to natural light, creating both visual and physical connections between different parts of the building. Partitioning is kept to a minimum to maintain flexibility and allow for evolving uses over time. Spaces are designed to be adaptable and multipurpose, supporting a range of activities.

Finally, the project establishes a strong urban presence through its distinctive architectural façade and active engagement with users, while ensuring efficient flow management between various programmatic functions.
