The Davout Lagny block, located in the south of the 20th arrondissement, is included in the perimeter of the Great Urban Renewal Project at Porte de Montreuil. Inexpensive inter-war homes, green spaces, make up an urban fringe landscape. The program proposes a moderate densification compared to the potential of the site.

Beyond a notion of densification, the idea of ​​a qualitative restructuring of the whole is more correct. The logic of the building's layout results from three issues: the relationship with the existing / the relationship with public space / the quality of the heart of the island linked to a work of residentialization. To this is added a programmatic mix, which requires work on protections, accesses, limits ... It is therefore a project of composition, of interrelations. Each element is defined, specified in multiple relationships.

The layout of the accommodation is strongly influenced by the following qualitative aspects:

> 100% of dwellings have a double or triple orientation
> 100% of dwellings recover the south in the main living room
> 100% of dwellings have an outdoor area to the south as an extension of the living space.
