It takes more than a good sofa, a table or a designer lamp to make a designer home. The elegance and sophistication of a room is the sum of all its components. Every single detail must be in exactly the right place and the overall harmony of a project is the direct result of the interrelationship between its various parts.
The new De Padova space in Milan emerged precisely from the idea of an exemplary home: 1100 square metres on two levels celebrating the best of 'made in Italy' creativity and products in a totally coherent concept.
In Via Santa Cecilia, 7 in Milan, Piero Lissoni's intention was to outline a home prototype which goes beyond simply presenting products from the famous furniture brands and opts instead for a 360 degree design approach.
Antrax IT is taking part in this 'architectural promenade': radiators from its TT series, Tavola MO and H_ 20, will be warming up the various retail outlet rooms highlighting its specific characteristics.
Tavola MO, this Veneto company's new 2015 feature, is made in aluminium alloy and was selected to heat the meeting room at the entrance to the showroom on level -1. Its surface finishing is white and its essential lines and the absolute simplicity of its shapes combine perfectly with the De Padova office décor.
In the larger, showcasing space focusing on living rooms on the ground floor we have installed radiators from the TT collection which evolved out of the Serie T line designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez. This model emerged from the Serie T section used in sequence and repetitively to create heat décor providing high thermal performance even at low temperature settings. Once again in white, its geometric and elegant design echoes the modular compositions of the De Padova bookcases used to separate off spaces in a permeable way.
The new retail area with its bedrooms and a few service areas, lastly, has been fitted with H_20, a carbon steel radiator with 20 mm x 15 mm rectangular section tubular elements at a distance calculated to optimise its thermal performance.
Minimalist forms, top quality materials, an innovation focus and a search for the perfect balance between beauty and performance - these are the principles shared by De Padova and Antrax IT, two similarly design focused brands showing their great affinity in this project.
