East Melbourne Terrace

An interior renovation and external extension to a federation terrace home in East Melbourne.

The project focus was to retain the existing beauty of the federation home, but lighten and brighten the space. We focused on the threshold between the old and new, and considered how it may feel to move through this threshold. Our material palette was warm, friendly and clean, making the narrow extension feel larger, and brighter. The void punched in at the kitchen zone floods the space with light.
