The theme of framed views was used as a special design element in this building project. The property is located on the rural periphery, with no obstructions to the west and north and with beautiful wide views over open meadows and fields. Thus, we framed these views by means of "flaps" or "passepartouts" in four different depths.
The windows of the " secondary rooms " were provided with classical flaps or pilaster strips. The seat windows in the children's area on the upper floor received a framing with a depth of 40 cm. The covered entrance area a depth of 90 cm and the two loggias on the west side, last but not least, a depth of 135 cm.
Like a pair of binoculars, the building with these loggias looks out onto the green expanse of nature. Correspondingly large, the building also opens on the first floor into the garden laid out to the west - facing away from the street - with its main living spaces of kitchen, dining and living of the very open floor plan, which is only zoned by an over-corner arrangement and by fixtures or a fireplace block.
Almost all the materials of the wooden structure are kept in noble white, elegantly distinguished only by different textures of the surfaces. The framing and pilasters stand out from the scratch plaster facade with a smooth filler finish. Even the aluminum of the tent roof, gutters and downspouts was chosen in white. Only the black window frames contrast with the white to give the house an appropriate counterpoint.
