Ekimetrics. trusted us once again, to help them invest their latest location, as a result of the company growth and transition to flex office.
Ideally located in the heart of Paris, not far from the Opera and overlooking Montmartre.
The three triangular flooplates are organized around a patio. Open space area are located on streets façades, to maximize natural light input.
Following previous Ekimetrics location space-plannings, working spaces spread homogeneously thoughout, blended with various meeting spaces, breakout points and informal working space.
- On the top floor, visitors and collaborators are warmly welcomed at the Eki.Bienvenue, a crossover between reception space and coffee shop, with a great view on Montmartre as main feature. It is completed with severeal meeting spaces.
- On 6th floor, l’Eki.Torium allows people to gather, offering a generous, flexible conference space.
- On 3rd floor, l’Eki.Table, a large multi-uses spaces, hosts lunches and tea breaks, as well as big unformal gathering.
Change for flex-office was an important part in the brief, to boost working habits, and optimized space usage. It brings opportunity to extend the program and developpe particular get-together spaces , sometimes unexpcted, placed throughout the floors, to encourage people to navigate between levels and create more impromptu interactions :
- War rooms, dedicated spaces to tackle projets
- Creativity Room, immersive brainstorming spaces
- Le Grand Rex, high acoustical performance studio
- Tangram, a large meeting room, home to the iconic Tangram table from Ekimetrics. 1st location on Champs-Elysées.
- Eki.Tisanerie, a slatted timber volume, acting as a nod to Eki.Cube from forementioned iconic location.
From Tangram table, to slatted wood, dark surfaces and contrasted edges, the architectural language developed through previous Ekimetrics. projects are revisited, to reflect the firm will to reinvent itself while keeping alive the link to previous location, which are undeniably part of the company history.
Signage and wayfinding also play a big part in design singularity. Travaux Pratiques, the design studio who developed it, took inspiration from domestic objects such as cushion, wall lamps or linens to create inclusive, cosy signage elements and details.
They also based the wayfinding approach on the three streets surrounding the building, creating an intuitive system, as well as anchoring Ekimetrics. latest location in its neighbourhood.
