Emaar Square accommodates office and residential towers with apartment blocks including shopping and leisure facilities which are integrated with the pattern of the city and likely to be a new destination for Istanbul with three high rises. Considering the location and the size of the plot (near to Kadıköy, Üsküdar, Acıbadem and Ataşehir) the project is likely to be an urban focal for the Eastern part of Istanbul via re-defining the architecture of old districts in Istanbul. The project can be considered as unprecedented in its variety of spatial experiences and as irreplaceable in its unique urban formation. iki design group took up this “delicate” condition and drew up a central space generic lay out in which numerous activities could easily be integrated to the project that clearly will enliven the life quality of the area with a respectful contemporary architecture.
